The Aurora R-VIII School District is currently accepting applications for a full-time secondary teacher at the Alternative Learning Center (grades 7-12) for the 2026-2027 school year. The Alternative Learning Center services secondary students grades 7-12 in an alternative learning environment. 

Applicants must possess current certification for the position, demonstrate a student-centered philosophy on education, and be proficient in understanding quality instructional practices to increase student achievement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this position. Aurora students attend school Monday-Thursday (4 days a week only).
