The Aurora R-VIII School District is seeking a high energy "Culture Builder" and "Instructional Leader" to serve as the PRINCIPAL/DIRECTOR of the Aurora R-VIII Alternative School!   SALARY RANGE will be commensurate with experience and qualifications; but be a minimum of $75,000.   Preference will be given to candidates with three (3) or more years' experience in an administrative role and five (5) or more years of instructional experience in a Junior High or High School setting.   Aurora R-VIII has a strong tradition of community support, academic success and a student's first approach! The unique FOUR-DAY work week, with Fridays being the weekday school is not in-session, allows for an appealing schedule – with a consistent three (3) day weekend.  The Alternative School has nearly 100 students in grades 7-12; and four (4) staff members.

This position is a TWELVE (12) MONTH contracted commitment, with the four (4) day-week expectation, and would begin on July 1st, 2026.   Successful applicants shall submit a completed District Application, current Resume, Cover Letter, three (3) Letters of Support, proof of Certification (or eligibility thereof) and anything else that would support the candidate's application process.
